Cllr John Major The Council's Carer's Champion |
Cllr John Major is the Council's Carer's Champion and in this role John is recognised by all parties as the lead spokesperson and Carer's advocate on issues affecting the many thousands of carers in the borough. This means that Cllr Major can provide a voice and speak up for over 23,000 carers when it comes to the Council's Cabinet making decisions that will affect carers in any way.
Carers are a vital aspect of social and health care in Hillingdon. Over 23,000 people provide over £220 million of care and the statutory care agencies such as the Council could not cope without the dedication and commitment of this often ‘hidden workforce’
If You are a Carer, or if you know someone who is, and you need help or advice with regard to support from the Council then you can contact Cllr John Major via the Labour Group Office, Civic Centre, Uxbridge, Middlesex, UB8 1UW, 01895 250780 or by email at JMajor@hillingdon.gov.uk
