Stuart Mathers
Leader of the Labour Group
Stuart Mathers has been a councillor since 2018, and has previously served as Deputy Leader of the Labour Group. In June 2025, he stepped up to become leader of the Labour Group to support Labour councillors in holding
the current Conservative administration to account for their failures and mismanagement of finances.
Gursharan Singh Mand
Deputy Leader of the Labour Group
Gursharan has been a councillor since 2022 and has held key roles including Opposition Lead for Planning and for Corporate Finance and Services. He is focused on supporting the leadership and wider Labour Group to provide strong, effective challenge to the administration, combining detailed policy knowledge with a clear strategic approach. Alongside this, he remains committed to community engagement, councillor development, and strengthening the groupā€™s collective impact across Hillingdon
