Candidates 2022: Uxbridge

Labour members in Uxbridge ward have now selected their candidates for the upcoming Hillingdon Council elections which take place on May 5th 2022.

Members have chosen: Tony Burles, Jagdip Singh Gill, and Jess Thurgur

Tony Burles

Tony was born in Hillingdon Hospital, educated in Local Schools, and has lived all his life in the borough. Tony works for a local charity., and was previously elected twice as a councillor in South Uxbridge. Tony’s main hobbies are speedway and non league football.

 

Jagdip Singh Gill

Jagdip has significant experience in the Labour Party, including working as a political assistant for a Labour Group. He is a regular campaigner, and his experience as a radio presenter for Desi Radio means he is able to quickly build rapport and communicate with residents to help them feel engaged and involved.

Jess Thurgur 

Jess is a life long labour supporter who’s lived in Uxbridge for the past 10 years. She fell in love with Uxbridge whilst studying at Brunel University largely because of the diverse, welcoming community full of interesting people from all walks of life.  She is passionate about reviving Uxbridge, the heart of Hillingdon borough, and making it safer and livelier for local businesses, residents, community groups and those who visit.
