Hillingdon Labour publishes full slate of candidates ahead of May elections

With just over 4 weeks until the Hillingdon Council elections due to take place on 5th May, Hillingdon Labour have published the full list of candidates that will be standing under the Labour banner in the borough.

Voters will see some familiar names on their ballot, with Councillor Janet Gardner becoming the longest serving Labour Councillor in Hillingdon if she wins.

The Hillingdon Labour Group will be saying goodbye to current sitting Councillors who are not restanding, including long-time Councillor Lynne Allen who currently represents Townfield ward – which is being abolished at the May elections.

Speaking about the candidates that the party have put forward, Labour Group Leader Cllr Peter Curling said:

“We have a fantastic set of candidates standing for us, and I am really excited about what the Labour Group could look like after the elections. There is immense talent amongst our candidates, and unbeatable passion.
“They are already out working their wards, talking to residents, and explaining what a Labour Council would do if we are elected to serve.”
